Northeast Association of REALTORS®
Complete Your Code of Ethics Training by December 31, 2024
As we approach the halfway point of 2024, we want to remind all REALTOR® members about an important deadline. December 31, 2024, is the final day to complete your triennial Code of Ethics training requirement (2.5 hour course). This mandatory training, set forth by the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR), is crucial for maintaining your membership in good standing.
Important: Not all offerings meet the NAR requirement and instructors must be approved by a local association in order for the course to qualify. Contact us if you have questions about a particular course. (In order to avoid taking a course that does not qualify, it is recommended that you take the Code of Ethics course with NAR, a state, or local REALTOR® association.)
Why You Need to Complete the Code of Ethics Training
The Code of Ethics training is designed to ensure that all REALTORS® adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical conduct. By completing this training, you reaffirm your commitment to integrity, honesty, and the fair treatment of all parties involved in real estate transactions. It’s an essential part of what makes our profession trusted and respected.
Convenient Training Options Available
To help you meet this requirement, we offer several convenient options:
- NEAR and MAR Portals: You can take the Code of Ethics course on demand through the Northeast Association of REALTORS® (NEAR) or Massachusetts Association of REALTORS® (MAR) portals. These courses not only fulfill the NAR requirement, but also include continuing education (CE) credits, which are beneficial for your Massachusetts real estate license renewals.
- NAR Online Course: Alternatively, you can complete the course online directly through the National Association of REALTORS®. Please note that this option meets the Code of Ethics requirement but does not include CE credits.
